Introduction:

GiGABYTE has been around for some time and is widely considered a top competitor in the enthusiast motherboard market. However in recent times they have expanded their product line to cover video cards, powers supplies, CPU cooling and chassis. Today I have a chance to review the Gigabyte iSolo 210 case, their newest addition to their budget line of cases, this steel case may not possess all of the exciting features found in the enthusiast level chassis line they offer, but let’s dig in and see how this case stacks up in its price range.

Case Accessories

The GIGABYTE iSolo was sent to me in in its original box. From the picture you can see UPS was a little rough with the delivery, but the inside contents did hold up well. Inside the box the case is packed with chunks of foam at the top and bottom of the case with another piece of foam covering the front bezel of the case. This additional piece of foam also houses the chassis manual. The manual shows you how to properly install the hardware into the case. Within the case, contents include three sets of hard drive mounting rails, the necessary screws and nuts for motherboard installation, a metal ring, three mini cable organizers, a single flat cable organizer and a large cable organizer. A small scratch free dust cloth is thrown in for added appeal.

The iSolo fits five 5.25” external drive bays along with two 3.5” drive bays. At the front of the iSolo 210 case, you will see the bays and that they all are made up of circular mesh to improve airflow. Behind these meshed bay covers are dust filters. Below the 3.5” drive bays are the two USB2.0 ports, power button, audio in and out along with a single Firewire port. On left and right sides of the bezel there are air vents for fresh air intake and a 120mm front intake fan. The back of the case features a 120mm exhaust fan and two rubber mounts that allow for a water cooling system’s tubes to access an external radiator.
