ADATA
Granted ADATA isn't a big name in the memory sector, but they are one the largest memory producers across the continents. This is why we sometimes don't see everything they have to offer. For instance, in a few of the cases, there were memory modules varying in size and frequency, from DDR2 to DDR3. They have some upper echelon, extreme frequency DDR2 and even DDR3 memory kits reaching 2000MHz! Unfortunately for the U.S., we won't be seeing those kits any time soon. However, there are immediate plans to release their DDR3 1333MHz memory kits here in the states.
They are also heavily pursuing the Solid State Drive technology as well and have released the new 32, 64, and soon 128GB drives. These guys do a lot more than most anyone is aware. And being that they deal and produce memory module ICs of all kinds, they also have some pretty unique USB drives. ADATA decided to stick with putting their USB drives inside a more realistic casing like the Disney versions in the cases.
We'll have the opportunity to see more of their memory modules and storage devices in the future. I have a hunch that there isn't anything wrong with their modules which should be good news for consumers looking for good performance and price. Thanks for the tour, Vince!
CoolerMaster
This booth was quite busy with a few rounds of CS going. Isn't there any clans willing to play some newer games that really push those Nvidia SLI configured systems? I'm sure it would be really easy to get some local Call of Duty 4 players together if not some Team Fortress 2 players. They had so many nice cases with some excellent hardware inside which just seems to be going to waste on such an old game. None the less, as you can see the pics, there are some VERY nice cases and enclosures. It appeared there were many well skinned cases and maybe even an air brushed case. Without getting in the way of the match in progress, it couldn't be confirmed. The Nvidia Cosmos case was actually really sweet looking with a custom skin. Some of the skins were theme based while others were perplexing. The VW Van case is dedicated to our very own, Sludge.
The rest of the booth had several of Coolermaster's power supplies aimed at the more budget minded users on display. A couple of the display windows had their newest V8 and V10 CPU coolers. If you haven't seen these coolers up close, they are really large. The V10 basically dwarfs any CPU cooler to cross this test bench. It still has a couple inches over anything else tested to date. I'm not sure the V10 has a place in any of the test systems here, but the V8 at least appears more manageable.
