X2Gen

Surprisingly, there weren't many booths with LCD Monitor displays. The ones that did have something to show, weren't very quick to show them off to the VH camera. After checking out some of the samples, I did happen across the X2Gen booth which was actually very well decorated. It had a club style scaffolding and had some lights to give it life. They even had a nice sitting area on top where the big deals and meetings were going on.

X2gen Booth

As soon as I walked up, the booth spokesman was excited to show their latest LCD and TV monitors. The pictures were pretty much on par with anything else at the event. The new 42" LCD TV was actually really easy on the eyes and had every A/V connector needed for pretty much any home theater component. And it's not uncommon to find computer users with 20" or larger screens being used for their latest games. This would be a fantastic way to get your games on and watch your movies.

Monitors & LCD TVs

And then there were LCD monitors for computer based systems. The monitors all range from 15" up to 22" on the computer end. Their 22" monitors were especially bright enough to see and easy on the eyes. For that matter, all the video samples were pretty decent on anything there. On the other side of the booth, X2Gen had various portable and component DVD players. Next to that were various MP3/Video players in hopes of offering an alternative choice to the Zune and iPod. New companies can sometimes raise the standard, so it will be interesting to see some performance reviews.

Team Group Xtreem

If you've wondered how some of these over clocked computer systems have reached those limits or frequencies, chances are some of the memory used came from Team Group. Their best memory modules have set some pretty insane standards. If you look at their web page, they have claimed 8 benchmark world records.

Team Group Booth

Team Group has 3 major lines of DDR2 memory: Team Xtreem Dark, Team Elite, and Team Xtreem. Where their modules start to shine are the Team Elite and Xtreem series mainly due to the over clocking, thus better memory bandwidth. The Team Elite line includes the PC2 6400 (800MHz) with 3-3-3-8 and 4-4-4-10 memory timings. These same modules can operate up to 1000MHz with 5-5-5-15 memory timings.

Nice Ram Heat Sinks

The Team Xtreem modules include speeds of 1066MHz 4-4-4-12 up to 1200MHz 5-5-5-15 memory timings. These are the fastest memory modules at stock specifications. If you don't intend to run the memory at 1200MHz, you can set the memory to lower timings at lower frequencies. As you can see, they come with a pretty simple heat pipe heat sinks ultimately should be to capable keep the memory cool during operation. This memory is definitely not for faint of heart.

Xtreem Series Specs

The title for fastest memory has been bouncing between only a few select names and Team Group is one of them. Achieving those 8 records mean you should whole heartedly consider a top of the line quality motherboard. You may spend more on the motherboard of choice, but it's always worth it in the long run as you will encounter much fewer compatibility issues and achieve those insane memory speeds.
